Fighting Words: Hate Speech and the First Amendment In-Person
As part of the LLC's 2018 Banned Books Week celebration, the Kent Campus LLC is sponsoring Fighting Words: Hate Speech and the First Amendment. Join Prof. Carl Colavito, Prof. Nick Martino, and the PaRDi Club for a discussion of the legalities and issues
surrounding the use of hate speech, what is (and is not) protected by the First Amendment, and whether words themselves can be considered an act of violence.
This event will take place at FSCJ's Kent Campus, E-104.
