Skeleton in the Closet: The Johns Committee and Florida‘s Lavender Scare In-Person
Join FSCJ Student Life and the Library and Learning Commons for a screening of “The Committee,” a documentary about the 1956-1965 Florida Legislative Investigative Committee which aimed to root out communist and homosexual teachers and students from state universities. The screening will be accompanied by a talk by a representative of JASMYN on the history of that organization and its work supporting Jacksonville’s LGBTQIA+ youth.
