Blackout Poetry In-Person
Celebrate National Poetry Month at Deerwood LLC by creating your own Blackout Poetry
Blackout Poetry is a fun method used to create a poem. It involves taking a page of text and blacking out words with a marker that are not part of your poem. You can start by putting boxes around the words on the page that stand out to you then locate connecting words to create a thought. Last, blackout all the other words on the page not needed for your poem. You can even create visual poetry by coloring an image on the words you want to blackout.
